Raft Race for Cancer Care
Cupola needs your help to save 'Chilly Willy' the sailor from an icy doom in the North Atlantic.
Your sponsorship will send help to Willy whose ship - the RMS Miniscule - has just run into an Iceberg. Chilly Willy (the drawing below) is a sketch for the 'raft' that artist Paul Evans will be entering into this years Daft Craft Race on Sunday 29th July.
The race starts at 11am and is taking place on the River Porter just inside the Hunters Bar entrance of Endcliffe Park - it will feature a host of crazy craft designed and built by local artists, along with live entertainment on the day ... perhaps including a visit from the mighty Lord Poseidon of the Porter ...
Donations to Daft Craft Race can be made at www.justgiving.com/DaftCraftRaftRace or why not pop in to Cupola on Saturday 21 or Sunday 22 July to meet Chilly Willy and make a donation or sponsor the raft in person.
The Daft Craft Race is part of the Master Cutler's Challenge, in aid of Cavendish Cancer Care.
